Getting Married

For many of us, getting married is the one event we look forward to most.  It's the moment we launch our lives alongside another.  For Krista and I, July 19th is that moment. We are excited and ready.

Krista and I laugh often how frustrating it was to be single through most of college.  While many of our friends in college found the person they wanted to spend the rest of their lives with, both of us graduated without hearing wedding bells.  We saw apparently "weird" people fall in love and yet neither of us could find a relationship worth staying in.  I went off to graduate school and Krista went to another state to teach. Four years later and after a lot of growing up, a mutual friend set us up on a blind date.  We can't thank that friend enough. We would be lying to say that it was love at first sight.  It wasn't.  It took time for our love to grow.  But as we dated and got to know each other, we realized how much fun we were having.  And this you know, is how true love grows...slowly, with great sensitivity and selflessness.

We hope this BLOG is one that will allow our friends to be encouraged in their own marriages and let our friends know how to pray for us along the way.

The Ring
